I have been using on my daily work for example maintenance of mail servers both for the company and clients,gateways, bandwidth managers, name servers.Furthermore installation, configurations and troubleshooting Unix Server problems. Also troubleshooting clients problems like emails problems, internet problems etc. Also, maintenance of mail servers and fixing network problems. Mainly, I have been using Ubuntu Version 9.04 and 10.04 both Server and Desktop version, ClearOS version 5.2 , Fedore core 14, Redhat and FreeBSD version 7 but the later two are not very much. Have you used/administered TCP/IP nets?*: true Describe --------- I have been using and administered TCP/IP network. My company provide Internet services using DSL modems, wireless radios i.e mikrotik, Fibre optics cables and Ethernet connection for clients residing within the company buildings. Also, I have been assigning IPs to clients,and manage TCP/IP on firewalls. As a NOC Technician/Server Technician as well as a supervisor I have been troubleshooting problems related to TCP/IP Network connection. Sometimes routing knowledge is of high potentials incase we experience a loop problem from a clients.When a client cause loop he/she can cause problem to part of the network. Provide technical assistance to the Customer Support department for problem resolution. Liaising and assisting with NOC and Server Technicians and Customer Support Department on monitoring, troubleshooting of the HNL Network and/or any HNL server problem. Supervising all server technicians and assistants and submitting weekly written reports on status of pending tasks, installations in progress, and current or perceived server problems. Planning and maintaining security of HNL servers. Preparing a technical report after every successful HNL server installation. Maintaining inventory and stock lists of server room equipment and forwarding orders for server equipment when low in stock to the Technical Operations Manager. I have trained my colleagues and clients including IT guys in schools that we provide services to them. Also I have improved my working performance through the monitoring tools that I implemented and we started using like CACTI.before we were using MRTG. Also been punctual and appraised to be a server supervisor from a NOC Technician because I used to monitor the network and timely respond to clients problem.This is because of the knowledge I got from the last year Network monitoring tutorials .
